PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2/7/2025

Target Publishing, a leading publisher, content creator and event organiser in natural health, is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary earlier this year – with five of those years successfully operating on a four-day working week.

Known for titles such as Health Food Business, Natural Lifestyle, and Integrative Healthcare & Applied Nutrition (IHCAN) magazine, as well as events including the Natural Health Trade Summit and the IHCAN Summit, Target Publishing adopted the four-day week model in 2020 in response to the challenges faced during the pandemic. Since then, the company has continued to grow, proving that reduced working hours can go hand-in-hand with productivity, creativity, and a positive workplace culture.

“We made the move to a four-day week to give our team a better work-life balance – and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made,” said David Cann, Managing Director of Target Publishing. “Not only has it helped us retain talent, but it’s also contributed to a happier, more energised, stable team and stronger results for our clients.”

Joe Ryle, Campaign Director of the 4 Day Week Foundation, said: “Congratulations to Target Publishing for a successful 5 years working a four-day week. With 50% more free time, moving to a four-day week gives workers the freedom to be able to live a happier and better life.

“As hundreds of British companies and one local council have already shown, implementation can be a win-win for both workers and employers.”

Target Publishing continues to be an advocate for flexible and sustainable working practices, and credits its four-day week policy as a cornerstone of its ongoing success

This week, the celebrations went a step further as the team marked the 25-year milestone with a company day out at the races – making it an extra-special three-day week. The occasion offered a chance to reflect on the company’s journey, celebrate its people and friendships, and look ahead to the exciting new projects on the horizon.
